An Outing at Airlie Farms

Hello, dear blog readers! So last week, we took our pastor's wife up on in invitation to visit a local pumpkin patch. We bundled up Little Buddy and off we went to enjoy the sights of fall. The poor little babe eventually got chilly, so we had the stroller cover pulled over him, but maybe next year he'll be able to enjoy the scenes, mazes, food, etc. more than this year. As parents, I'm sure we enjoyed the outing more than he did! I even managed to get mildly lost in the straw bale maze they had. (Ahem.)

Here are some photos. The two little twins in green are family friends (the pastor's kids). They are full of funniness and busy activity, and they seem to think that Cameron is a great diversion to their day.

The photos above were taken by a friend. It got us thinking about getting a new camera, so guess what my sweet hubby ordered for my b-day?

 Not really sure what he thought about being propped up against the pumpkin.

 Personally, this expression is one of my favorites, although it usually means a gassy bout is on its way.

As an addendum to my last posting, here is an update on Little Babe. The pediatrician more or less kinda blew us off at the office, but several moms and family members and friends have offered a lot of good advice. I've already cut out dairy, nuts, eggs, and fish from my diet over the last month. The baby was on soy formula for about 48 hours. The pediatrician strongly encouraged us not to give up on breast milk solely for the runs, and so the little guy seemed to be very, very happy to go back to breast milk! He's been eating a lot better with a lot less fuss--nothing like eating something that tastes and smells bad to help your appreciation of dining from your roving mommy meal wagon! The two days of soy not only stopped the diarrhea, but swung the poop pendulum in the other direction. Now that all of those issues are resolved, Little Buddy's eating habits are back to normal, and we have a much happier baby on our hands. Thanks, everyone, for helping us to stick it out.
