Hello, dear blog readers! So shortly after we moved here and before the weather got too warm, we visited the beach a few times. The wind was cold, so we did not stay long, but here are a few photos of our fun.
Toodler decided the most fun he could have was to run away from his parents, which made for a great exercise regimen for me. It turns out that Hubby has a sprained knee coupled with degenerative arthritis, so he helped out where he could before the joint started swelling. He did a good job as a cameraman--after all, it's hard to do that while holding Smalls and running after Toodler.
Note the second photo stance: "I'm getting away from Mom if it's the last thing I do...." It's funny that no one has to teach little people how to be sinners and disobedient!
Collecting treasures. We tried to get him in the water, but like every other occasion outside of the bathtub at home, he cried in terror. Not sure how to get this child interested in water, but I'm assuming at some point in time he'll find someone else to play with who likes water. That or we need to invest in a kiddie pool for the back yard to ease him into beach and pool life.
You can't really tell in this picture, but there was quite a bit of back-pedaling going on when the tide got too close.
