Hello, dear blog readers! I have been working for a while now on teaching Toodler when to be still and not speak. We have not inserted him into church services yet for the following examples of behavior. Tonight at dinner as his father was praying, Toodler folded his hands and proclaimed, "Yo Gabba Gabba! Amen!" (Pause....) "Farted! Amen!" (And that was when I lost it and didn't help the situation by snickering into my armpit in a sacreligious manner.)
I can just see this sort of thing happening from the pew.
I've also started trying to "practice" small periods of sitting still and quiet at home. So far, I have had very little luck. To those of you with extremely active children: any suggestions?
