Vacation: Quilts!

Hello, dear blog readers! While I was visiting family, my mom, sister, and sister-in-law were working on finishing quilts. Here are the nearly-finished products.

Below is my sister's quilt: she put it together by hand (no machine!) for the last few years, and it turned out great!

This is the quilt my mom made for a friend undergoing chemo. (Note the pink theme.) She did all the quilting/stippling (piecing of the front of the quilt to the back with decorative stitching) herself.

Lastly, here is my sister-in-law's quilt. The picture doesn't do it justice; it is absolutely beautiful! The quilter added sailboats, crabs, and sea shells (visible in the middle blue squares) along with nautical stars for a nautical theme.
