Hello, dear blog readers! Do any of you ever suffer from getting out of bed? Funny question, I realize. This is one of those mornings where Hubby woke up to feed the baby (who has been sleeping in a bit for the last few days), and he was down for a morning nap when I woke up. Groggy. Ugh. Then the question becomes a battle for Morning Me vs. Tired Me.
"Gotta get up and get some stuff done. Suck it up and have some coffee, shipmate! Get going."
"Who are you to tell me to get out of bed, Morning Me? The baby is sleeping. Hubby is up and around doing his thing. Sooooo groggyyyyyyyyy...."
"C'mon! Cleaning to be done! Coupons to clip! Foster farms sale on chicken today! Rite Aid sales to puruse! New i-pod docking station....Gotta update the tunes! Laundry! Up up up already!"
For the record, Tired Me put a pillow over my head to drown out Morning Me, but Morning Me had accomplished my goal. Out of bed at a reasonable hour. Now for the coffee. Sitting on the couch trying to wake up. Hard to do after getting to bed at 1:45 after a shift in L&D. At least sitting on the couch being groggy having some coffee is a nice compromise between Tired Me laying in bed and Morning Me trying to accomplish all of my weekly goals in one day.
Happy Friday, dear blog readers!

...every day. ;) I'm not a morning person.
Give yourself a break. Sleep in when you can. You need it when you've had a late shift. Even though we only use candles for fun now, the old saying is true that one cannot burn the candle at both ends.
